n April 2018, I joined a team of scientists working in the Gunung Mulu National Park, Borneo. The team, led by Dr. Nele Meckler from the University of Bergen, Norway are working to improve our understanding of tropical climate change over the last 500,000 years. Pictured here is one of the most impressive caves in the world, Deer Cave. Team member Prof. Gina Moseley from the University of Innsbruck is seen dwarfed by the overwhelming scale of the cave. Ever since I first walked into this cave back in 2003, I have been in awe of this natural wonder.
