In the middle of the night, the Melinau gorge and the white cliffs of the south face of Gunung (mount) Benarat are illuminated by moonlight. The stars shine on in the night sky as the Melinau river races past. Peace and quiet. Only the sounds of the rainforest can be heard. Camp 5 can be such a beautiful place to stay and use as a base, whilst exploring the giant caves of Mulu.
