Buso Della Neve del Zingarella ice cave in North Italy is a stunning ice cave in which the vertical entrance is corked with a giant ice plug like a wine bottle. Like all ice caves, this one is changing dramatically and losing its ice volume. It had been a few years since my guide had been there, and the old route through the ice plug was blocked. Eventually, we found a new route that had been carved out by the warm wind passing through it.
