Lake Castrovalva offers unique and other worldly formations. Pictured here, Gina Moseley paddles in a small inflatable boat we used to cross the lake. Everything we wore and took into Lake Castrovalva had to be super clean. We had to change our clothes before entering this pristine section of Lechuguilla. Giant cave mammillaries grow inside the water and a section of them are now exposed since the water levels have dropped.
