Located close to one of the main entrances and positioned conveniently close to the underground camp, the most impressive gallery we found inside Imawari Yueta (cave) was called ' One Thousand Column Gallery'. This photograph shows the extremely unusual column like formations that are strewn all along the sides of the passage. It is truly remarkable. While a small stream flows through the passage-way carving away at the crumbly soft quartzite rock resembling sandstone to touch, the red and orange and pink coloured rock looks bright and breath-taking.
