This draws to a close the series from the 2006 expedition to the Nakanai mountains in Papua New Guinea. And what an expedition it had been! Pictured here is the Tavurvur volcano at sunrise which we caught sight of at the end of 12+ hour boat ride around the southern tip of island of New Britain. The time on the boat was the final stage of an amazing three month long journey. To date, this remains the longest expedition I’ve ever been on and by far the most wild and extreme. Huge thanks to all the team who participated and to Dave Gill, our intrepid leader who organised it all.
