Untamed Rivers of PNG

From the entrance of Mageni it took us a while to get into the main cave passage. We followed several routes, each leading to a different entrance from which a waterfall poured out into the Iso gorge. In one passage we met a 1.5 m long black python. It didn’t seem bothered by us, but we kept our distance anyway. Finally after a few tries, we found a route that took us into the main cave. Even inside the cave the passages were like a maze with waterfalls pouring from higher levels to lower levels. It involved a lot of tricky climbing to get up these waterfalls safely.
